This is a new service offered by community pharmacies for advise and prescriptions for some of the common illnesses. You can now go directly to a chemist near your (locally Church Langley Pharmacy, Tesco (Church Langley) pharmacy, Potter street pharmacy and Netteswell offer this service. Please see below the list of condition for which you can now get treatment by your local pharmacists.
The new service will enable the management of seven conditions across various age ranges:

Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections for Women 16-64 years

Shingles for 18 years and over

Impetigo for 1 year and over

Infected Insect Bites for 1 year and over

Sinusitis for 12 years and over

Sore Throat for 5 years and over

Acute Otitis Media (ear infection) for 1 to 17 years
Community pharmacy teams will be working closely with local general practice colleagues
They also offer a more convenient way to access healthcare including support with healthy eating, exercise, stopping smoking, monitoring your blood pressure, contraception, flu and covid vaccinations.
The results of a survey found that over 90% of patients who sought guidance from a community pharmacy within the past year reported receiving good advice.
