Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency
In addition to the doctors and nurses we are fortunate to have the following professionals at this practice to help you.
First Contact Practitioner
The Practice now has the services of a 'First contact practitioner' once a week (every Monday), whose role in primary care is to assess patients with soft tissue, muscle and joint pain/problems. FCPs are highly skilled practitioners with expertise in the assessment and management of Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. They can organise investigations, medications and onward referrals.
Clinical Pharmacist
The Practice now has two clinical pharmacist during the week, whose role is to support those with long term conditions like asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure or anyone taking multiple medications to make sure their medication is working. They can do your medication reviews and give you advice about your medications. They also do diabetes and COPD reviews.
Social Prescriber
We now have the services of a Social Prescribing link worker at the practice. The main aim of her role is to help people to improve their health and wellbeing by connecting them to activities in the community. Link workers connect those feeling lonely, overwhelmed or in need of help to a range of local support, from community and activity groups to work, debt or housing advice.
Further information about different services we provide can be found below.
Urgent Care Practitioner
We are very fortunate to have an urgent care practitioner who will see you with acute illnesses on the day. She works two days a week and sees patient face to face mainly. She is experienced in dealing with acute illness and therefore sometimes if you call in with acute illnesses you may be booked in with our urgent care practitioner. While she is an independent practitioner, she will have access to a GP to discuss cases and get your prescription verified and authorised.
