Scan Requests
Occasionally a clinician may request scans for investigation, such as ultrasound scan, CT scan and MRI scan. Please be advised these scan are requested only based on clinical need as judged by the clinician. The clinician will request such scans electronically and this gets reviewed by consultant radiologist, who ultimately either approves or rejects the request. If your scan request is approved then you will be booked for the scan and the hospital will contact you directly with date and time for this scan. If however the request is rejected, we will inform you of this decision.
Scan Results
The result of your scan gets sent to us electronically and then gets reviewed by a clinician. If the clinician feels that he/she needs to contact you to discuss the result, we will get in touch with you to arrange an appropriate appointment for this.
It is not necessary to contact us if you have not heard from us. However you can check your result by:
