Appointments

Call 999 for any of the following symptoms

  • Crushing chest pain or tightness
  • Severe difficulty in breathing
  • New drooping on one side of the face, slurred speech, difficulty raising your arms, weakness or numbness on one side your body
  • Heavy bleeding that won't stop
  • Severe Injuries
  • Feeling suicidal, wanting harm yourself or other

Urgent Appointment

By calling us: If you feel you need urgent medical attention then please call the surgery and speak to receptionist. Please see the opening hours for more information. The receptionist will ask you about your illness to help the duty doctor decide when and who best to see you. 

By contacting us online: If we have ran out of appointments for that day, then we will request you to Contact us Online. We will then assess and respond to you in a timely manner with a reply. The outcome of this can be:

  • appropriate signposting such as; pharmacy services, first contact practitioners, clinical pharmacist, social prescriber, minor injuries unit or in certain cases accident and emergency services.
  • telephone consultation
  • face to face consultation
  • text reply with advice, investigations, referrals, sick note, etc.

Routine Appointment

By contacting us online: If you need routine appointment or medical need we highly suggest you Contact us online. You can request a wide variety of services by contact us online, which include:

  • medical appointment/advice
  • request a medication (repeat or otherwise)
  • request a sick (fit note)
  • request investigations
  • request result of a test 

Once we have received your request online we will assess this and will reply to you in a timely manner with a reply. The outcome of this can be:

  • appropriate signposting such as; pharmacy services, first contact practitioners, clinical pharmacist, social prescriber, minor injuries unit or in certain cases accident and emergency services.
  • telephone consultation
  • face to face consultation
  • text reply with advice, investigations, referrals, sick note, etc.

NHS App

You can now book certain types of appointments with the nurse or the healthcare assistant. These appointments are termed general nursing appointments and they are for things like depo injections, b12 injections, smears, etc. The appointment termed phlebotomy is for blood test appointment with the healthcare assistant.

Cancelling an appointment

As the doctors' and nurses' time is limited we would ask patients as a courtesy to cancel an appointment if unable to attend.

You can cancel or change your appointment:

  • Phone us and select option 2, between 8.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
  • You can also cancel your appointment by contacting us online.

Pregnant patients

You will need to book your first antenatal appointment with the midwife on 01279 827817.

(SystmOnline)

If would like to sign-up for SystmOnline please request a SystmOnline sign-up form from reception and return it to the surgery in person, along with a valid form of photographic identification, for example photo ID or your passport. Once you are signed up the practice will give you the information that will enable you to create a username and password. Once you have obtained your username and initial password visit the SystmOnline login page. The login page also has links to apps for mobile devices.

Home Visits

Please try to come to the surgery whenever possible, as facilities here are far better for examinations and treatment. If you feel a home visit is needed please telephone by 10.30am.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the surgery. The Doctor will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgent a visit is needed.
